Volunteer at Care Harbor/LA!
Dates: 10/31 – 11/3 (Thursday – Sunday)
This event takes place at the LA Sports Arena and offers 4 days of free medical, dental, and vision care to uninsured/underinsured Los Angelinos.
If you are on outpatient and are interested in volunteering on Thursday or Friday (10/31, 11/1), let me know and I will work to excuse you from subspecialty clinic/consult. We prefer to avoid missing sacred day, Simms/Mann, renal consult, jeopardy; if you have a question, just email me and ask.
If you volunteer on your day off on Saturday or Sunday (or both), we will give you an extra flex day for volunteering.
Morning Shift:7:30am - 1:00pm
The shift timing makes it hard to do 1/2 day but we can discuss if you are only available for 1/2 day.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
PGY1/2 & Don't have a Medical License yet? You will need to designate a UCLA Faculty member on the date that you are attending to be your Faculty Mentor in order to register. We don't have the names of all the Faculty members involved on every date as of now, so just email me with dates that you are interested and I will provide you with this information.
PGY2/3 & Have your Medical License Already? You can go online and register yourself as all you'll need is your license number. But please still let me know which dates you are planning to go!
